3C Associates: Working in Partnership with local council

A local learning & development consultancy is working in partnership with South Oxfordshire District Council to provide a range of training programmes.

3C Associates Ltd, of Henley-on-Thames, is helping SODC to develop their staff with a range of programmes including time management, negotiation and persuasion skills and assertiveness at work training. Their approach is to provide an interactive and fun classroom environment, promoting their philosophy of ‘learning by doing’.

Helen Eades, Head of Training at 3C, says ‘Our training programmes encourage delegates to participate as much as possible.  We tend to avoid theory based training as our research shows that the learning is far greater when people experience a new skill or technique.  It seems to be the perfect formula for the training we are currently providing for the SODC staff.’

Providing training and ongoing personal development for staff at SODC is critical to maintaining their ‘excellent’ performance level recently awarded by the Audit Commission in 2007.
