Management
is traditionally seen as the design, implementation and control
of a process and the people involved in that process. It assumes
the manager has more knowledge and wisdom than the people he or
she is in charge of.
This is no longer necessarily
true. As managers we may not have more wisdom, knowledge or skill
than the people we are managing. And yet, we are expected to know
what to do.
Management Development
Training will help you gain the skills to better understand
what needs to be achieved, what resources you are likely to need
and how to best organise them to achieve the results. Part of that
understanding is an understanding of people, and having the vision,
focus, compassion, energy and courage to inspire those people.
Management Development
Training will help you develop your skills both as a manager and
a leader through different skills and approaches that you can use
to find out what works for you and your team.

Is Management
Development Risky?
Developing your management

for success. And indeed it is. I would find it hard to name a successful
company employing more than 10 people where the leaders haven't
had some kind of management development training. And yet, such
training can often go wrong. Read
